Twelve Days, Many Ways Disneyland Resort Gives Back During Holiday Season

The Disneyland Resort and its cast members give back to the community 365 days a year, but at no time is it more evident than during the 12 days of Christmas.  Cast members join together to participate in toy and food drives, adopt families and send care packages to military servicemen and women – those efforts alone benefited more than 22,500 individuals this holiday season.

(Nov. 25, 2009) – The National Thanksgiving Turkey will really have something to celebrate following today’s traditional presidential pardon ceremony on the White House North Lawn. “Courage” and his alternate, “Carolina,” are going to Disneyland! It starts with a ride to Dulles International Airport.  Then the birds will “fly” on United Airlines Flight “Turkey-1” to their new home at Disneyland Resort in Southern California.

July 2 - The Disneyland Resort has celebrated the glory of fireworks since 1957 with numerous spectacular shows.  The long-standing tradition continues with a star-spangled presentation for Independence Day, with Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky, July 2 through July 5. The “Magical” fireworks show returns July 6.
